The Drachoreus are an ancient and mystical species relying heavily on their deep connection with magic to guide the decisions of each Sounder, or tribe. Within each of these Sounders are seven families. Decisions are made for the group by a high council that consists of the eldest member of each family. Drachoreus have made their life in The Marsh building homes of driftwood on floating barges. Each Sounder continually travels the swamp throughout the year to ensure that the fish and frog populations do not dwindle from over-harvesting. Ozweild represented his family on the high council of the Mud Sounders when he realized that the magic his kind had relied on for generations was beginning to fade. He left The Marsh with two additional Drachoreus from other tribes to traverse Revilo. Their expedition will hopefully reveal whether or not magic is disappearing all across Revilo or only in The Marsh.
