Description
"Welcome Home" Size: 11in x 14in. Started 2019 during my mentorship through SmArtSchool in the Fall, with Donato Giancola. Finished on December 7th, 2020. My idea behind this painting was to set a Fantasy story in Mexico. My country is a diverse mixture of many cultures that have lived and thrived since their arrival a long time ago. The woman in this painting is taking care of dragon eggs, many species a bit different than the ones she has met in Mexico. It doesn't matter where they come from, she takes care of them the same way she would care for any egg found abandoned in the wild. In this stone feathered serpent nest, over a hot bed, the eggs will come to term and be welcomed to their home.
