About Colin Ashcroft

I’m an illustrator, concept artist and character designer originating from Manchester, England. I now reside amongst Hobbits in a place they call Belgium.

I have experience creating concept art, illustrations, character art for computer games, fantasy and Sc-fi art for trading card games, Role playing tabletop manuals, book publishers and games for IOS devices. 

Clients are spread across the world ranging from the UK to Germany, Holland, America and Canada. Working remotely is no problem, I work with most of my clients this way usually using a combination of email and skype creating a fast, efficient way of working.

A few years back I was lucky enough to work in the fields of animal and marine biology. This combined with my infinite and crazy imagination helps enormously in creating fresh and imaginative ideas. During my illustration degree I was lucky to spend time on an exchange to Antwerp where I studied oil painting the life model, portraiture, anatomy  and landscapes. In 2010 I attended the MADE symposium which included workshops/seminars from the entertainments finest. This included Marvel Entertainment, Massive Black and Sixmorevodka studio. I learn’t so much and continue to learn each and everyday pushing my work and boundaries enabling me to present what the client is looking for.
