Jody A. Lee was born in San Francisco on June 18, 1958 and after graduating with distinction from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 1980, has been a professional artist for over three decades. She has been an illustrator in the publishing industry for many years and her art graced the covers of many well-known authors in the field of children’s books, fantasy and science fiction. She has received numerous awards and her paintings have hung at the Delaware Art Museum and the Society of Illustrators Museum in New York City. Jody works in oils and acrylics on canvas, paper and illustration board, and her art is unique in its combination of graphic design, attractive, well-drawn figures, and luminous color. Often she incorporates metallic gold or silver designs in her work, giving them a magical abstract quality.

Projects: | Well, no Worldcon or any cons until we figure out a way to safely show and gather again. I've been doing all sorts of craft/art projects and working with glass, which I guess I should make a separate gallery for, and of course a gallery of my paintings that are for sale. The current one is of my favorite works, and some of those are already sold, or otherwise unobtainable (in my mother's house.) My etsy shop a Studio by the Sea only carries my glass art and crafts. Stay well! |
