Iris Compiet is an artist living and working in the Netherlands. She works for international clients in the field of illustration & concept art, contributes to gallery shows, sculpts and is the creator of the book Faeries of the Faultlines. None other than Brian Froud has this to say about her work: Iris Compiet�s work is an astonishing and masterful revelation of the Faery Realms. She is an artist who, with stunning alacrity reveals the fleeting personalities of the normally unseen.. Creating a �sense of wonder� is at the core of her work. Both in commissioned work as in non-commissioned work, storytelling is an essential part. As an artist she strives to lure in the spectator, to make them feel a connection to the work and open a gateway to their imagination to ignite it even further. Drawing inspiration from European folklore, mythology, fairytales, ghost stories and anything from tombstones, Victorian photography to popular movies and music.
