Member Since October 2013

Kelly is an Anglo Spanish artist creating wearable sculpture & sculpture dolls in the South West of England. She has extensive training in fine jewelry design, master-pattern making, antique jewelry reproduction and precious metal sculptural restoration, lost wax casting, miniature sculpture and enamelling. After completing her apprenticeship she explored and developed her own style, influenced by her passions - world mythology, ancient history, Art Nouveau & Pre-Raphaelite art, & with respect for the ancient smiths whose skills she feels a connection to in her work with the continuity of craftsmanship. She has worked on such projects as ecclesiastical jewelry & ritual object restoration; reproduction of heirloom jewelry, & small sculpture for private collections & international exhibitions. Kelly has also designed & created jewelry & costumes for European TV, theatre & independent films. Her wearable sculpture pieces are enamelled, bejewelled & highly detailed, often talismanic & with hidden symbolism. Her folklore doll sculptures are known for their highly detailed costumery & handmade or upcycled props, items helping create a narrative for each character. Kelly teaches all her sculpting techniques on residential courses in Granada, Spain
