A companion piece to a scratchboard drawing (is that the right word?) I did in November, thus the numbered title. Just like the previous one, this was based on a render by the Wombo AI (who unfortunately have recently discovered how much money they are missing out on by just offering AI services for free, so that' s going away apparently even if some service is still free). It was hard to sort out all the intricate shapes, emulate what I liked about the reference, what the scratching knives could do and how much ink pen to use drawing over shapes again. I did learn that making circles is hard since the scratchers should be pulled rather than pushed.
The subject is the keeper of knowledge, or, as it is the second piece of the title, ' a' keeper of knowledge. I would say this one would be the keeper of increasing knowledge the available collective knowledge of humanity doubles every five years. The times when anyone could know everything there is to know has been over for a few centuries already - yet some folks today believe, desperately believe, that they know ' everything' . All in one person. Just one brain to hold all there is is. Sure... must be nice to have that kind of confidence.
