Cheiranthus is a harbinger of death, traversing the realms between the land of the living and the shadowed veil of the dead realms. A daughter of Charon she is both warrior and peacekeeper, both feared and loved. Keeping the pallet for this piece near monochromatic proved to be a great challenge, especially introducing the warm orange colours of a soul trapped within the gemstone but I have remained very happy with the final results. This development piece for my personal project World War Fae also introduced the more geometric designs in the tattoos that will adorn all thirteen of the major fey characters.
