My name is Julia Lundman. I have worked since 1993 as a commercial artist in animation and games. I am now taking some time to develop my personal work in the form of oil paintings, drawings, and sculptures. I am fascinated by folklore, pagan customs, and rituals and am exploring these subjects in paintings and drawings that ruminate on our human, animal, and botanical relationships with the natural world.

I like to paint in oil and incorporate gold, silver and copper details into paintings when they fit with the subject matter and design. I am also passionate about drawing, sketching, and plein air painting. I like to spend time researching traditional painting methods and love art history.
