Projects: Currently Art Directing the upcoming Disney feature series "Iwaju."

Location: North Hollywood

This was a piece that I entered in the 2017 SAFADORE Salon/competition in Le Mont-Dore, France. It won the Trophy. The theme was revolving around the bi-centennial anniversary of the Neo-Byzantine style bath house of the city. It was only natural to me to use the interior of the bath house as the backdrop. Although the painting is not in black and white, I purposely set it at night, with a cooler palette and lower color saturation to try and emulate a dreamy, almost ethereal mood similar to the 40s and 50s Cocteau movies, like Orph� e and Beauty and The Beast (NOT the Disney movies). Oil on canvas. 24 x 36 inches.
