Kelley's artwork is inspired by the mysterious. She grew up in a secluded house in the woods, surrounded by and nature and enjoying the company of many animals, including rescued wildlife her father rehabilitated. Family trips gave her a love for adventure, and her mother instilled in her a sense of the spiritual. These were things that rooted in her subconscious an affinity towards symbolism, and art became her language to investigate the psychology behind out thoughts. Using archetypes from universal myths as inspiration, she loves to create her own visual stories personifying our emotions and fears both light and dark.

Kelley earned a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2001, and her MFA in 2010 from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. She currently lives and works out of the lovely and cozy Brooklyn, NY.
