IX Announces Limited Dust Jacket Edition and Free Copies of IBA 4 for IX 9 Main Show Artists, Showcase Artists, and 5-Day Attendees

IX and Infected by Art (IBA) are thrilled to announce, as part of their continued partnership, that a limited edition of IBA Volume 4 will be published and be released at IX 9 next October. This limited volume will feature a special, foil-stamped dust jacket exclusive to the IX edition, featuring IX commissioned art that has been juried into IBA. This jacketed edition will be available ONLY through IX – complementary copies will be given to all Main Show and Showcase artists, as well as to all 5-day Member pass holders. 

In an effort to further highlight the juried artists of IX in IBA next year, all juried IX 9 artists whose work appears in IBA 4 will have an IX insignia printed near the notations beneath their artwork, allowing guests at IX 9 to quickly identify which works are from artists in attendance at the show next year. In addition, the IX/AFA commissions created for IX 9 will each be printed full-page as part of the introduction to IBA 4.

“We’re inspired by the mission of IBA and their dedication to supporting imaginative artists. As the only juried annual in the genre that both gives cash awards and highlights every submission received on their website, we feel that IBA provides an invaluable service to the imaginative art community. The IX Special Edition provides an opportunity to introduce more artists, collectors, students and art directors to IBA as well as giving those same people a special “thank you” from IX. To us, it seems to be a natural fit,” said Jeannie Wilshire, Co-Founder of IX.

“Within the last two volumes of Infected by Art, artists who exhibit at or attend IX have had many pieces juried into the Traditional and Digital sections of our book. At IX 8, IBA 3 sold-out of all the copies made available for purchase through the museum store. With that in mind, it made sense to create a limited edition of IBA 4 for IX9,” said Bill Cox, Director of Infected by Art.
