Description
No Escape was inspired by my experiences as a fantasy artist with Government Arts Funding Institutions in Canada. It's a statement that just had to be made, plus I love the Minotaur and always felt he should be a stylish beast of high status. His pose is inspired by my favorite bad boys of film. He was executed in digital as my traditional paintings take many months to do and my time was limited to make the deadline for my first public showing. My digital fine art is mostly experimental as I have no drawing tablet or other standard digital imaging tools thus use a mouse on a mouse pad in Corel paint and a very soft airbrush nib to build the light and depth in a similar fashion to real-world traditional airbrush.
