Description
Whiteout is inspired by the music of an emerging Yukon heavy metal band Antarticus and their personal experiences being young hard rock musicians starting out in Canada's last frontier where country and western music is the mainstream. The beast is a three-headed sub-arctic Chimera (Grizzly, Wolf and Lynx), the musicians are depicted as Victorian era arctic explorers standing their ground against impossible odds. Rock on Antarticus! The painting is executed in cerulean and Prussian blues on illustration board.
