Projects: I' m currently working on a project I call Mudpie, meant to depict Yellowstone National Park as it may have appeared over the 2 million year span of the Pleistocene. Mudpie has been a fine reason to hike about Yellowstone over the last decade for needed references--by direct observation, photographs and sketches. To date, the artwork has been done in a field-sketch style meant to give the impression of wandering through vistas of great volcanism and flowing glaciers on foot with simple tools. I see Mudpie as a personal stamp on natural history, free-running physics and deep time.
