Description
"Calypso" is a carnival ride where giant heads replace the normal riders in each of the cars. Each head is the same person but in a different emotional state. The suggestion for the viewer's consideration is to consider the basic meaning, origin, and control of emotional states as articulations of what we might call states of being. What is a state of being and how are they accessed? Can they be controlled, are do we spend our lives randomly bumping into each other. "Life is a carnival", so they say. Of course, at the end of the ride, we all get off. Something to think about.
