About the Artist

Kaysha Siemens
Member Since January 2016

Projects: My current primary focus is a personal project titled 'Mnemosyne', an ongoing series inspired by Greek Mythology, drawn from heavily (joyfully) researched primary sources, and named for Mnemosyne, the goddess of memory and mother of the muses. I have exhibited at conventions and in galleries for over a decade, and in the Showcase at IlluxCon from 2016-2019. Published in Infected By Art volumes 5, 6, and 7 and Spectrum 26 Chelsey (ASFA) award nominee 2018 and 2019, ARC Salon Finalist, and participant by invitation in the Beautiful Bizarre "Ritual" Exhibition opening December 2019 at Haven Gallery. I have background in book illustration, commercial client work, and extensive private commissions.

Oil on board, 11x14 inches. Available. ARC Salon Finalist. Part of the artist's ongoing "Mnemosyne" Greek Mythology series. Daughter of the hundred-handed giant Briareos, Oiolyka is an ocean nymph and minor goddess of stormy waves. Her name means 'lone wolf.' In some accounts, Heracles was tasked with fetching her girdle as one of his twelve labors.
